ON YOUR MARKS,

GET SET..........

A big thank you to all leaders across the Scout & Guide Counties in West Sussex for working so hard to get your registrations in by final numbers day. Well done!
Now with the final numbers set, the WS team can finalise the planning for an exciting, active and fun camp for almost 2,000 young people who have booked their place.

With international Guides and Scouts coming from 16 Countries we can all look forward to sharing many experiences in a way that is unique to Scouting and Guiding.

Your sections will now be starting to plan in more detail for the camp. You may be preparing equipment, planning rotas, building soap box carts, designing those special gateways, preparing some standby games and activities and, in some cases, forging stronger links with visiting international groups. By 'Being Prepared' we can make even our best, better.

Through the pages of this website and the information passed to you from your sub-camp leaders you will see over the coming weeks what the camp has to offer and I am confident you will not be disappointed.

To the young people attending I would set a challenge through the opportunities on offer to you at WS 2013; try at least 3 new things and make at least 3 new friends. It really won't be hard.

To the section leaders, organising teams and adult support teams I would say that working together we can make WS 2013 a lifetime experience for the youngsters and have fun doing it.

The countdown clock is reset for the Opening Ceremony and, together with all the WS organising team, I look forward to seeing you there.
